Escape to the Tuscan hills for a truly authentic and delicious 5 night retreat. We will immerse ourselves into nature, home grown foods and plenty of yoga. Spring time in Italy is magical, full of colour and life. May we bask in it’s splendour together and leave with fresh pasta in our hearts and bellies.

Tuscany holds a very special place in my heart having finally married here after 2 years of Covid disruptions. It will also be my last abroad retreat for a while so I’m ready to put everything into it.

It will be the perfect mix of action and rest as we charge up with the rising sun every morning and set as it does with Yin in the evenings. Everything about this retreat will be natural, how we move, eat, sleep and spread our bare feet in the land. The ideal way to reset, escape the hustle and bustle and remind ourselves there is beauty all around us.

Food by Francesca and Francesco

Francesca is a sustainable living and travel consultant. Her focus is to create holistic tourism experiences that merge her skills – yoga, food and organic agriculture. Her first introduction to the world of food started in her family’s restaurant, where she began working at age 15. Francesca then pursued an MA in Food Culture and Communication, presided by the Slow Food Movement, and she is now developing the recipes served at Maraviglia. Francesca also obtained her Yoga Teacher Certification at the AYM School in Rishikesh, India. This experience led her to merge her interests in natural food and holistic living, forming a path in pursuit of wellbeing. In 2018, Francesca began working at Maraviglia Conscious Living Center. Here, she curated and led the resort’s wellness experiences, from cooking meals to leading workshops to collaborating with some of Tuscany’s finest importers, producers, and farms.
Maraviglia is the family home where owner, Francesco Piattelli, spent his childhood. After leaving Italy to go to school and start a business in NYC, what he noticed was a need for stillness in the big city lifestyle. He craved an escape away from the high pressure jobs, unbalanced eating, and above all, stress. This inner desire lead him back to his hometown. He found that country living embodies all the power to heal. Maraviglia became a place for him to practice mindfulness and gratitude, strengthening the belief that living in a healthy, balanced, natural manner is a way to make positive change for ourselves and for the ecosystems in which we live.

Getting there

Maraviglia farmhouse is situated up a hill just outside of the Tuscan village Monte San Savino.

Flying into Pisa airport tends to be the cheapest option and is a 2 hour drive or 3 hour train journey.

Florence is an hours drive away and roughly a 2/2.5 hour train including the shuttle from the airport.

You can either get the train to Arezzo and arrange a taxi to the venue or get a train from Arezzo to Monte San Savino and we will arrange picking you up from there.

One way flights to Pisa from London Heathrow on Sunday 7th May are currently starting at £61 with British Airways.

Italian trains are amazing. They are cheap and usually very reliable. I highly recommend taking trains here.

One way flights to Florence from London Gatwick are starting at £58 with Vueling.

I have looked for one way flights in case you decide to tag on a few more days in Italy!
