Wild Thing (Day 3 – 30 Min) | Strengthen to Lengthen Yoga Series

Welcome to Day 3 of my summer time Yoga series Strength to Lengthen. Wild thing is one my very favourite yoga postures. I often find backbends very challenging but there’s something about this one that feels so accessible and satisfying. In this class we will be focusing on strengthening the glutes and backs of the legs plus mobilising the shoulders. These ‘drill’ like exercises in this class are so valuable to include into your practice whenever you can. It’s a great way of reminding those muscles in the back of your body which often get ignored simply because we can’t visually see them that they still have a lot of work to do. Remember the back of your body is really our support structure so let’s build it. I’ll also be breaking down the transition into full wheel from wild thing that can be notoriously fiddly. Once you’ve got in your grasp though you’ll be busting it out all the time. So without further ado, let’s get wild!
